Wagner Edges Women's Swimming, 117-115

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Wagner women's swimming team edged Stony Brook, 117-115, at the Stony Brook pool Wednesday night.

Sarah Doret and Starlyn Rupinski each won two events Tuesday night. Rupinski continued her outstanding year by setting a new Stony Brook record in the 50m freestyle. She placed first in the event with a time of 25.73, breaking the old school record of 25.90 previously held by Laura Bartlett.

Rupinski also teamed with Doret in the 400m medley relay that captured first in a time of 4:23.33. Doret placed first in the 200m individual medley in a time of 2:20.82.

Amy Vallebuona registered three first place finishes for Wagner in the 1000m free, 500m free and the 200m butterfly.

With the loss, the Seawolves fall to 2-2 on the year.
