The Stony Brook women's swimming team fell to Wagner 104-85 on Wednesday night, but not without some noteworthy performances by the Seawolves.
Freshman Alison Porteus, whose time of 2:28.37 in the 200 breaststroke set a new school record in the team's season opener last week, bettered her mark with a time of 2:27.69. She was also part of a 400 medley relay team which also included Jessica Claud, Michelle Miller and Starlyn Rupinski that set a new school record with a time of 4:04.62. The team had set the previous mark of 4:04.89 against Army last week.
Freshman Laura Zuffante recorded the only other individual victory for the Seawolves, placing first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:18.96.
Stony Brook (0-2) travels to take on Providence on Saturday.
