Stony Brook lost in the opening round to host GSU despite drilling a season-high 11-of-20 three-pointers.

Jibowu missed preseason with an ACL injury suffered in early October. Also recently returning to practice is sophomore Maggie Triggs, who continues to improve from a stress fracture she suffered in her foot. Freshman Danyelle Ingram is out indefinitely after she reinjuring her shoulder against UPenn. Danielle Moseley also continues to recuperate from ACL surgery she had in August.
LAST TIME OUT: After leading by 28 points at halftime, the Seawolves held off a furious Hampton rally to defeat the Lady Pirates, 81-65, in the consolation game of the Georgia State Invitational last Saturday. Stony Brook shot 20-of-39 in the first half and held Hampton to just eight field goals as the Seawolves built a 49-21 lead. Sherry Jordan scorched Hampton for 17 first-half points and Theresa LoParrino added 13. Jill George also grabbed 10 rebounds in the first half and Stony Brook recorded eight blocks in the first 20 minutes. However, Hampton made things interesting in the second stanza. The Lady Pirates outscored the Seawolves 30-8 in the first 10 minutes of the second half to pull within 57-51. But Hampton would get no closer as Stony Brook held on for its fourth win. Jordan finished with 22 points, a career-high 15 boards and four steals. Danielle DeGiorgio recorded a career-high 20 points to go along with six rebounds and five blocks. LoParrino had 19 points, seven assists and five steals. Erika Shipley's season-high 13 points and six assists rounded out the Seawolves' balanced scoring attack. George finished with a career-high 15 boards to go along with seven points. The 81 points is the most by the Seawolves in a game this year.
JORDAN REPEATS: Sherry Jordan received All-Tournament Team honors for the second straight weekend at the Hyatt Regency Invitational. Jordan's 22-point, 15-rebound performance in the consolation game against Hampton was highlighted by her 17 first-half points, including 3-of-5 three-point shooting. The sophomore was named MVP of the Holiday Inn Express Invitational the previous weekend.
FANTASTIC FIRST HALF: The Seawolves enjoyed some of their best play all season in the first 20 minutes of both games at the Hyatt Regency Invitational at Georgia State. In the first round against GSU, the Seawolves shot 6-of-10 from three-point range and 9-of-10 from the free throw line, and Stony Brook trailed just 40-37 at halftime. In the Hampton game, the Seawolves were an outstanding 20-of-39 from the field while recording 14 assists, eight blocks and six steals. Three Seawolves had double figures by halftime led by Sherry Jordan's 17 points.
SETTING NEW MARKS: Stony Brook achieved several season highs against Hampton. The Seawolves' 49 first-half points are the most they've scored in the first 20 minutes this season. Stony Brook totaled 52 points in the second half against UPenn on Nov. 30. The 28-point halftime margin also marks the Seawolves' largest lead all season, and the Seawolves' 51 percent shooting (20-of-39) is also a season-best. Stony Brook's 51 rebounds, 21 assists and 11 blocks are also season-highs.
CAREER HIGHS IN GEORGIA: Several Seawolves also achieved career-highs at the Hyatt Regency Tournament. Theresa LoParrino's 6-of-11 three-point shooting in the opener against Georgia State marked the most threes she has ever hit in a game. In the Hampton game, Sherry Jordan and Jill George each grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds, while LoParrino set career-highs in assists (seven) and steals (five).
CAREER HIGHS IN GEORGIA: Jill George's 15 rebounds against Hampton not only set a new career-high in a game, it also gave her 511 during her four years with the Seawolves, placing her 10th in history.
IT'S RAINING THREES: Stony Brook shot the lights out from three-point territory against Georgia State, hitting 11-of-20 treys for 55 percent. The Seawolves hit 6-of-10 in the first half, led by Theresa LoParrino's 3-of-4. LoParrino finished the game with a career-best 6-of-11 three-point shooting.
TENACIOUS D: Sophomore Danielle DeGiorgio returned to the starting lineup last weekend and it paid off for the Seawolves, as she had a career day against Hampton. Her 20 points set a new career-high, as did her five blocks. DeGiorgio also had six rebounds against the Lady Pirates.
T. LO: Theresa LoParrino has been on fire as of late. After leading Stony Brook with 20 points in the opener against Rider, she struggled from the field the next three games. But the sophomore has gotten her touch back in the last four games. LoParrino connected on a career-high six threes on just 11 attempts against Georgia State en route to a team-high 26 points. She followed that up with a 19-point, 7-assist performance against Hampton. The previous weekend at the Holiday Inn Express Tournament, LoParrino torched the Quakers for 22 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 5-of-8 from three-point range. LoParrino lit up LMU for 19 points to lead all scorers in the title game. On the season, her 15.9 points per game is second only to Sherry Jordan's 17.4 per game.
CONFERENCE RANKINGS: Several Seawolves are climbing to the top of the statistical categories in the America East. Sherry Jordan leads the league in steals with 27, 3.38 per game, while she ranks second in scoring. Her 17.4 points per game is second only to Boston University's Katie Terhune's 21.0 points per game. Meanwhile, Jill George leads the America East in offensive rebounds (138, 17.4 per game) and is second overall (9.9 per game). Theresa LoParrino is tops in three-pointers made with 2.25 per game.
WORKING OVERTIME: Since injuries have thinned Stony Brook's bench, playing time for many Seawolves has increased even more. Just two players came off the bench against both LMU and Georgia State, while three non-starters saw action against Hampton. Meanwhile, five different Seawolves have played the entire 40 minutes during that three-game span, including Theresa LoParrino who has played two of the last three games to their entirety.
