Daigneault Re-Joins Seawolves As Graduate Assistant Coach

Stony Brook, NY - Head Coach Trish Roberts announced Wednesday the hiring of Jackie Daigneault as the women's basketball graduate assistant coach. The hiring completes the Seawolves coaching staff as Daigneault joins Vinny Cannizzaro, Silver Shellman and recent addition Lorraine Morrissey on the Seawolves bench.

Daigneault played for Stony Brook from 1996-2000 - averaging 6.7 points and 5.7 rebounds during her 91-game career. Her 517 career rebounds ranks her ninth all-time and her 123 free throws made is 12th. A two-year team captain, Daigneault also finished eighth all-time in blocked shots with 35.

A native of Lincoln, RI, Daigneault's best season came as a freshman when she averaged 7.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. That season, she made the New England Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll five times.

Daigneault graduated from Stony Brook in 2000, earning a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences. While at Stony Brook, she earned the Outstanding Woman in Athletics Award, Outstanding Leadership and Service Award and was an Academic Achievement Award winner.

Since graduation, Daigneault has spent the past year working as a tax accountant for KPMG, LLP in Providence, RI.
