Stony Brook, N.Y. -
Just three days after receiving All-America East Conference honors, Stony Brook sophomore Sherry Jordan was named to the All-Tournament Team at the America East Championships last weekend.
Jordan led the Seawolves all the way to the title game in the Seawolves' first-ever appearance in the conference tournament. In a first-round upset over No. 2 seed Boston University, the seventh-seeded Seawolves were led by Jordan's 25 points and 12 boards in a 63-46 victory. Jordan also collected six steals, four assists and two blocks.
Jordan was at it again in the Seawolves' 65-54 semifinal victory over sixth-seeded New Hampshire. She recorded her second double-double in as many days with 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead all scorers and help Stony Brook advance to the championship game.
In a 50-47 heartbreaking loss to Hartford, Jordan scored 12 points and grabbed six boards. She finished the season just eight points short of 1,000 in her two-year career at Stony Brook.
Also named to the All-Tournament Team were Aaron Yantzi of Vermont and Hartford's Dorcas Miller, Janeka Lopp and Kenitra Johnson. Johnson also received Most Outstanding Player honors.
