Box Score

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Boston University scored three second-half goals to break a 1-1 deadlock en route to a 4-1 win in America East women's soccer action Sunday afternoon. Meghann Cook scored two of the three second half goals to help the Terriers improve to 9-5-4, 5-1-1 in conference play. The Seawolves dipped to 6-10-1, 2-5.

Danielle Lewis put the Seawolves on the board first, collecting a loose ball at the top of the box and slipping it by BU keeper Jessica Clinton in the 19th minute for a 1-0 Stony Brook lead. BU got even at 29:52 when Lauren Erwin pounced on a misplayed ball in the penalty area and fired a low line drive shot past Stony Brook's Cindy Bennett.

Melissa Schulman put BU ahead in the 62 minute, heading a serve from Susan Marschall that slipped through the hands of Bennett and trickled over the goal line. With BU ahead, Meghann Cook sealed the win when she fired a 25-yard bullet past Bennett for a 3-1 advantage.

Cook added her second of the game at 80:09, kicking the ball into an empty net after Bennett had come out of the goal and failed to get a loose ball that was being fought for by Schulman and SBU's Chelsea Van Horn.

Bennett made four saves in the loss while Clinton stopped two Stony Brook shots to earn the win.

Stony Brook is back in action on Thursday when it wraps up the regular season home schedule against UMBC. Kick-off is 1 p.m.
