Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook freshman Mykeema Ford was named the Wilson Rookie of the Week, as the America East Conference announced Monday. The Trenton, N.J., native was nearly unstoppable in the Seawolves last three outings, averaging 20.3 points per game on 61.5 percent (24-of-39) shooting from the field, including 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from three-point range.

The guard was named to the Hawk Classic all-tournament team after averaging 21.5 points per outing on 17-of-25 shooting (68.0 percent) in two games in Philadelphia. Ford started off with a 20-point performance against host Saint Joseph's after shooting 66.7 percent from the field and 60.0 percent from downtown. In the consolation game versus UNC-Charlotte, Ford netted a game and career-high 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting (69.2 percent) from the floor, hitting on 3-of-5 three pointers while dishing out a career-best four assists. Against Harvard, Ford collected a team-best 18 points while shooting 7-of-14 to go with three steals.
