Inbar Orion and Jessica Smith each scored 21 points, leading four Seawolves in double figures, as the Stony Brook beat the Gazelles 89-56 in Wednesday night's exhibition game. Mykeema Ford chipped in 15 points and dished out six assists in the win.
Stony Brook jumped out to a 22-4 first half lead, shooting 53 percent from the floor. The Gazelles' Lawanda Greene lead her team in scoring, finishing with 11 on the game. Danyelle Ingram added 10 points for the Seawolves, while Inbar pulled down 11 rebounds for Stony Brook.
The Seawolves open their season on the road, November 21, at Bradley for a 1:00 p.m. match-up in Peoria, Ill.
