Today's Matchup
The Seawolves (2-15, 1-7) once again aim to snap their seven-game losing streak and eight-game home losing streak when they host Northeastern (9-8, 3-5), which is in the midst of a four-game losing skid, this evening.

The Seawolves own a 3-1 all-time advantage over the Huskies. The teams split the season series last year, with NU taking the first game in Boston, 73-70, and SB winning the second at home, 57-55.

The game will be televised live on the Empire Network at 7 p.m. with a delayed broadcast on NESN at 9:30 p.m.

Scouting the Huskies
Northeastern returns four starters and eight letterwinners from a team that went 8-20 a year ago.

The Huskies are led by Maralene Zwarich, who is averaging 15.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. After starting out the conference season 3-1, NU has struggled as of late and is currently on a four-game losing streak. Last time out, the Huskies lost at UNH, 58-52.

Last Time Out
Heather Ernest scored a game-high 21 points to lead Maine to a 63-53 win over Stony Brook on Sunday. SB rallied to trim a 17-point deficit to seven on a 10-0 run fueled by back-to-back three's by Mykeema Ford. Ernest pushed the Black Bear lead back into double-digits with a three-point play to put the game out of reach. Ford finished with 19 points while Jessica Smith logged a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead SB.

Ford Earns Second Rookie of the Week Award
Mykeema Ford was named the America East Rookie of the Week for the week ending Feb. 1. It marked the second time this season the freshman earned the award.

Ford put together an outstanding week, averaging 25.0 ppg while burying 11 three pointers in SB's two outings. Ford had a career night in the Seawolves near upset of BU, finishing with 31 points on 9-of-15 (.600) shooting from the floor, including 7-of-9 (.778) three-pointers. The seven three's set a new Stony Brook record and tied her for the third best single-game performance in America East history. Ford's 31 points tied her for the seventh best outing in school history. Against Maine she once again led the way with a team-high 19 points to go with three assists.

Hard Time at Home
Stony Brook has struggled at home this season, losing all seven outings at the Sports Complex so far.

In those seven losses, the Seawolves are shooting just .348 (145-of-417) from the field and .579 (73-of-126) from the free throw line, while their opponents are shooting .414 (152-of-367) from the floor and .724 (105-of-145) from the charity stripe. Opponents have outscored SB by a 447-381 margin in those games.

The Seawolves seven straight home losses to open the season marks the worst streak in school history. The previous worst start came in 1998-99 and 1995-96 as both teams started 1-4.
