Baseball Drops Game 1 to Princeton 2-0

Princeton, N.J. - The Stony Brook baseball team lost to Priceton 2-0 in the first game of a double header Saturday at Clarke Field. Junior Ross Ohlendorf pitched seven scoreless innings and tied a career high with nine strikeouts, holding Stony Brook to only two hits. Sophomore Matthew Becker provided the offense with a two-run home run in the fifth inning.

Justin Michalek and Brett Bernard tallied the only hits of the day for the Seawolves, as Ohlendorf improved to 3-1 on the season. Ryan Claypool kept Princeton off the board until the fifth inning when Becker took a 3-2 pitch over the left field wall.

The Seawolves take the field for Game 2 of the double header later today.
