Sherry Jordan Named Second Team All-Met

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook's Sherry Jordan was named to the All-Metropolitan Division I Women's Basketball second team by the National Invitation Tournament and the Met Basketball Writers Association. Jordan earned All-Met honors for the third time in her career, as she was a first team pick in 2002 and a second team selection in 2003.

Jordan, a two-time first team America East all-confernece pick, earned second team America East all-conference accolades in 2004 after averaging 11.1 points and 8.4 rebounds while leading the league in steals (3.13 per game). This season, Jordan moved into second place all-time at Stony Brook in scoring, third in rebounding, free throws and steals and fourth in field goals while becoming the first player in school history, male or female, to collect 1,500 points and 800 rebounds in a career.
