Stony Brook, N.Y. - Jessica Smith has been named America East Player of the Week the conference office announced on Monday. Smith posted the league's best individual performance to date. She scored a team-high 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting, pulled down 12 rebounds, six offensive, six defensive. In addition, she handed out five assists with three steals and a pair of blocked shots.

The Seawolves will return to action this Friday when they take on Illinois State in the opening round of the DePaul Invitational. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
