Women's Basketball Travels to Central Connecticut State on Friday

Tonight's Matchup Stony Brook takes on the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils. The Seawolves are 2-6 after losing four consecutive games. CCSU is 2-6, after snapping Long Island University's six-game winning streak. This is the first meeting between the two teams.

Scouting the Blue Devils CCSU is led by senior forward Gabriella Guegbelet. The native of the Central African Republic is averaging a double-double with 15.1 ppg and 10.5 rpg. Brittney Dixon is chipping in with 9.9 ppg.

Seawolves Against the Northeast Conference Stony Brook is 14-15 all-time vs. the Northeast Conference. The Seawolves face three consecutive NEC opponents in CCSU, Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart.

Seawolves vs. the State of Connecticut Stony Brook is 19-30 vs. the Nutmeg State after playing most of the games vs. Division II and III opponents.

Smith and Ford Approaching Scoring Records Seniors Jessica Smith and Mykeema Ford are quickly climbing the list for most career points in Stony Brook History. Ford is currently sixth all-time with 1,372 points and Smith is ninth with 1,323 points.

Ford Assists Herself Into Top Spot Ford's assist to Kelly Watson in the first half of the game vs. Temple gave her 327 for her career which is good for first all-time in Stony Brook women's basketball. Ford broke Jill Cook's record which stood for 16 years.
