Women's Basketball Hosts Quinnipiac in Holiday Tilt

Today's Matchup

Stony Brook takes on the Quinnipiac Bobcats. The first 500 fans who attend will receive a holiday ornament compliments of Coach Realtors. The Seawolves are 3-6 after snapping a four-game losing streak with a win over Central Connecticut. Quinnipiac is 8-1, winner of seven games in a row. This is the second meeting between the two teams. Last season, Mykeema Ford led four player in double figures with 19 points in an 87-61 win over the Bobcats. Dana Ferraro added 10 rebounds and 13 points.

Scouting the Bobcats

Erin Kerner leads the team in scoring with 18.1 ppg. Monique Lee is averaging 14.7 and 6.7 rpg and Mandy Pennewell is chipping in with 10.0. As a team, the Bobcats are second in the country in free throw percentage at 82.1.

Seawolves Against the Northeast Conference

Stony Brook is 15-15 all-time vs. the Northeast Conference. The Seawolves face three consecutive NEC opponents and teams from the state of Connecticut in CCSU, Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart.

Mykeema Ford has scored in double figures each game this season. In dating back to her freshman year at Stony Brook, Ford has scored in double figures in 77 of 92 games.
