The Stony Brook women's basketball team takes on Long Island-rival, Hofstra on Saturday afternoon at the Stony Brook University Arena. The Seawolves are 3-5 all-time vs. Hofstra including a meeting in the preliminary round of last year's WNIT.

Hofstra is led by preseason all-CAA first-team center, Vanessa Gidden. Gidden is averaging 17.3 ppg and 8.4 rpg.
