B.U. has lost three straight games including its first two conference games to UMBC and Vermont. The Terriers are led by Katie Meinhardt who's averaging 15.1 ppg. Erica Kovach is averaging 11.7 ppg and a team leading 7.2 rebounds per game.

Mykeema Ford's basket at the 10:51 mark of the second half against UMBC put her over the 1,500 point-plateau mark for her career. Ford scored a season-high 29 points in the win over UMBC and has 1,512 points for her career. If Ford continues her scoring average, she will vault into second place all-time in the Stony Brook women's basketball career scoring mark.
Rebound that Basketball
Dana Ferraro, Jessica Smith and Leah Getz each posted double digit rebounds in the win over UMBC. Getz had a career-high 12 boards and Ferraro and Smith had 10.

Seawolves Pick Up Road Victory at UMBC, 72-60
The Stony Brook University women's basketball played its best half of basketball in the first half, en route to a 72-60, road win over UMBC at the RAC Arena on Sunday afternoon. The Seawolves snapped their three-game losing streak and improve to 5-9, 1-1 in America East play. UMBC is 8-7, 1-1.
The Seawolves opened the game on fire posting a 9-0 lead and extended the lead to 11 after Leah Getz' jumper at the 14:21 mark. After Brittanie Hughes hit a pair of free throws to cut the deficit to six, Stony Brook went on another run, this one a 16-4 spurt highlighted by four three-pointers. UMBC fought back, however, cutting the deficit, which was as much as 18, to seven at 35-28 after a jumper from Amanda Robinson. Stony Brook quickly answered back as Mykeema Ford connected from downtown as the buzzer sounded giving the Seawolves a 38-28 lead heading into the locker room.
After trading baskets to start the second half, Ford put the Seawolves up 15 with a jumper at the 10:51 mark. Ford's basket gave her 1,501 points, making her just the fourth player in the history of the Stony Brook women's basketball program to post that mark.
After extending its lead to 16 after another Ford jumper, UMBC cut the Stony Brook lead to 9, three times. The Seawolves hit six free throws down the stretch to seal the victory, 72-60.
Ford, the America East co-player of the game, finished with a season high 29 points including 9-9 from the free throw line. Getz, who played her best game as a Seawolf, scored 17 points and a game and career-high, 12 rebounds. Kelly Watson and Jessica Smith each had nine points and Smith and Dana Ferraro posted double-digit rebounds with 10.
For UMBC, Robinson, the America East co-player of the game, scored 15 points. Hughes had 15, Drabyn had 13 and Shari Rohde, UMBC's leading scorer coming into the game with 15.0 ppg, had 10.
