Stony Brook, N.Y. - For the third time this year, Jessica Smith has been named America East Player of the Week, the conference announced today. The award is also Smith's eighth of her career. In addition, this is the third consecutive week the honor has been given to a Seawolf.

In the Seawolves' only game last week, the senior recorded a double-double when she went for 25 points and 10 rebounds in a 79-66 win at Maine.

Stony Brook returns to action when it travels to Vermont to face the Catamounts on Wednesday, January 24. This is the Seawolves' third consecutive road game. Tip-off is slated for 7 pm.
