Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook's Mykeema Ford has been named America East Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Ford, who's won the award four times, scored 47 points in two games last week including a 29 point outing at UMBC. Ford went 19-20 from the free throw line in the two games.

At UMBC, Ford's basket at the 10:51 mark of the second half put her over the 1,500 point plateau which is good for fourth all-time in Stony Brook history.

The Seawolves return to action when they host Boston University on Wednesday, January 10 at 7 pm.
