Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior outfielder Brian Witkowski (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) was named the SimplexGrinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week on Monday after helping the Seawolves take three of four at Hartford over the weekend. He hit .583 with four home runs and eight RBI in the four-game set against the Hawks.

Witkowski went 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI in the Seawolves' 7-2 win over Hartford in the opening game on Saturday. It was the second two-home run game of the season for Witkowski, who homered from each side of the plate.

He then went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI in Stony Brook's 16-0 win in the second game on Saturday. Witkowski capped the weekend series by going 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in the Seawolves 17-1 win over the Hawks in the second game on Sunday.
