Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University's women's basketball team looks to win its second-straight conference game when it hosts rival Albany on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. SBU holds a 20-19 advantage in the Seawolves longest-running series, which dates back to 1974. Scouting Albany
After going 7-6 in non-conference play, the Great Danes dropped their first three America East Conference contests, most recently a 71-56 loss to Boston University. Albany leads the conference in steals per game with four players ranking in the top-12 of the America East. Senior Charity Iromuanya is the teams top defender and scorer averaging 2.8 steals and 10.3 points per game. The Great Danes have four underclassmen in their starting lineup, including three freshmen.

Last Time Out
Sophomore Destiny Jacobs (Glen Burnie, Md.) scored 15 points and grabbed ten rebounds and senior Kirsten Jeter (Elmont, N.Y.) poured in a game-high 18 as Stony Brook rallied for a 64-59 victory over Maine on Saturday night at the Alfond Arena. The victory was SBU's first road win of the season and the first time it came from behind for a victory.

Trailing by as many as five with under five minutes to go, SBU clawed its way back into the game pulling within one at 51-50 on a three-point play from Jeter at the 3:50 mark. After trading baskets, another steal by the Seawolves turned into a layup for Jeter, regaining the lead for SBU at 56-55. Clutch free throw shooting by Jacobs and junior Misha Horsey (Wyncote, Pa.) down the stretch helped ice the game for Stony Brook as it held on for the 64-59 victory.
