The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team will host Brown and Hobart as part of its fall ball schedule on Saturday afternoon. The defending America East Champions and NCAA quarterfinalists will take on the Bears at 12 p.m. before facing the Statesmen at 4 p.m. Brown and Hobart will square off at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
After the game against Brown, seniors Kevin Crowley (New Westminster, British Columbia), Jordan McBride (New Westminster, British Columbia), Tom Compitello (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and Adam Rand (Niantic, Conn.), along with other Seawolves, will sign autographs from 2:30 to 3:15 inside the entrance by Gate 2.
Stony Brook is coming off a banner 2010 season, during which it went 13-4 en route to the NCAA quarterfinals. The Seawolves will boast one of the nation's top offenses in 2011 with the return of Crowley (51g, 26a), a first team All-American and Tewaaraton finalist, as well as McBride, a third team All-American who scored 48 goals as a junior.
Compitello, an honorable mention All-American who tallied 72 points (37g, 35a) and Rand (266-432, .616), one of the nation's premier face-off specialists, are part of a team that returns 94 percent of goals scored.
