Playing its second game in three days, the Stony Brook University women's basketball team will look to return to the win column on Thursday, hosting the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Senior Kirsten Jeter (Elmont, N.Y.) scored a season-high 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds but Erin Rooney led four Monmouth players in double-figures with 16 points as the Hawks defeated the Seawolves, 74-60, on Tuesday night at Pritchard Gymnasium.
Sophomore Taylor Burner (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) added a career-best 11 points for the Seawolves, while junior Destiny Jacobs (Glen, Burnie, Md.) had nine points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

FDU rolled to a 77-50 victory over Rider its last time out behind 18 points from Alyssa Mayrose.
The Knights are led by junior guard Mariyah Laury, who is averaging a team-high 16.6 points per game. Laury was named to the NEC all-conference second team last season after leading the conference in scoring (17.6 points per game).
Fairleigh Dickinson was picked to finish ninth in the NEC preseason poll. THe Knights are allowing just 56.6 points per game but are also scoring just 56.6 points per contest.
