In search of its second straight win, the Stony Brook University women's basketball team will wrap up a five-game homestand against the Iona Gaels on Sunday at Pritchard Gymnasium. Game time is set for 2 p.m.

Sophomore Sam Landers (Springfield, Va.) led a balanced Seawolves scoring attack with 14 points and the Stony Brook University women's basketball team held Fairleigh Dickinson to 34 percent shooting on its way to a 68-51 victory over the Knights on Thursday night at Pritchard Gymnasium.

Scouting Iona
The Gaels (1-5) lost their second straight game on Wednesday night, falling 64-50 to Marquette. Iona returns 13 letterwinners including three starters from last year's squad that went 18-14 and advanced to the WNIT.
Iona's only win of the season came on Nov. 27 against Brown. Kristina Ford leads the Gaels in both scoring (13.2 points per game) and rebounding (6.5 per game).
The Gaels are averaging just 56.6 points per game and are 0-2 on the road. Iona was picked to finish second in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) preseason poll while Ford and Anda Ivkovic were named to the preseason All-MAAC second team.
