Cambridge, Mass. - Senior Tom Compitello (Hauppauge, N.Y.) of the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team has been named America East Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday. Compitello scored five goals, four in the first half, and added two assists in the Seawolves' 15-0 win over Albany.

The win clinched a share of the America East regular-season title as well as home field throughout the conference championships.

A week after achieving its highest ranking in school history, SBU has done it again. The Seawolves are ranked eighth this week going into the final week of the regular season as they host Vermont on Saturday at 7 pm.
