Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior Charlie Paar (Huntington, N.Y.) of the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team has been named the SimplexGrinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday. Paar tied a season-high with 15 saves in the Seawolves' 14-11 win over America East rival UMBC on Saturday. The win snapped a five-game losing streak against the Retrievers and also broke their 13-game conference home winning streak.

Stony Brook, up three spots to 17 in the coaches poll, hosts Hartford on Saturday evening at 7 pm.
