Baltimore, Md. -
After an outstanding 2010 season, senior Kevin Crowley (New Westminster, British Columbia) has been nominated for two Inside Lacrosse Laxie awards. Crowley is up for Division I Player of the Year and Breakthrough Player of the Year. Fans can vote for Crowley and other awards from now until October 1.
Crowley, who was the 2010 recipient of the Enners Award given to the USILA's most outstanding Division I player, had one of the best seasons ever by a Stony Brook men's lacrosse player, posting 51 goals and 26 assists in 17 games. His 51 goals are a single-season program record and he's the only player in school history in the top five in goals (101) and assists (75). Crowley is just 26 points shy of the all-time record of 201. The 2010 unanimous America East Player of the Year and a Tewaaraton Award finalist, Crowley played for Team Canada at the 2010 World Championship Games in Manchester, England this past summer.
