Women's Hoops to host Albany on Tuesday

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Playing just its second home game since Dec. 5, the Stony Brook University women's basketball team returns to Pritchard Gymnasium on Tuesday to host the Albany Great Danes in America East conference action. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Last time out
Senior Kirsten Jeter (Elmont, N.Y.) scored a career-high 27 points and the Stony Brook University women's basketball team cut an 11-point second half deficit to two but the New Hampshire Wildcats held on for a 75-68 victory on Saturday at Lundholm Gymnasium.

Scouting Albany
Albany (10-7, 3-1 AE) enters off a 72-59 loss to Boston University on Saturday, which snapped a three-game winning streak. The Great Danes opened conference play 3-0 for the first time since 2000.

Sophomore Ebone Johnson ranks seventh in the America East in scoring (13.4 points per game) and scored 26 points in Albany's 59-52 overtime win over the Seawolves last season. Sophomore Julie Forster is averaging an America East best 10.4 rebounds per contest.

Albany is second in the conference in scoring defense (57.0 points per game) but is eighth in scoring offense (53.8 points points per game). The Great Danes are 7-4 on the road and won their first two road America East games.

All-Time Series
Stony Brook leads the all-time series, 21-20, and is 11-9 in Stony Brook including a 46-37 win at Pritchard last season. The teams have split their last four meetings.

Last meeting
Kirsten Jeter recorded a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Albany outscored Stony Brook's women's basketball team, 11-4, in overtime to pull out a 59-52 victory at SEFCU Arena.
