In search of its first America East victory, the Stony Brook women's basketball team hosts the first-place Boston University Terriers on Thursday at Pritchard Gymnasium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Senior Kirsten Jeter (Elmont, N.Y.) scored a game-high 23 points but the Albany Great Danes used a 22-3 second-half run to defeat the Stony Brook University women's basketball team, 67-55, on Tuesday night at Pritchard Gymnasium.
Jeter shot 9-for-16 from the field and was named Stony Brook's America East Player of the Game. The Seawolves (3-14, 0-5 AE) shot over 40 percent for the first time in 12 games but turned the ball over a season-high 28 times
Scouting Boston University
BU (8-9, 5-0) sits in first place in the conference after knocking off UMBC, 65-39, on Monday afternoon. The victory over the Retrievers was the Terriers fifth straight win.
The Terriers lead the conference in scoring offense (66.8), scoring defense (44.8), field goal percentage (.441) and field goal percentage defense (.309) during America East play. Alex Young (13.8 points per game) and Chantell Alford (13.5 ppg.) rank fourth and fifth, respectively, in the conference in scoring. Young is also leading the America East with 2.6 three-pointers per game.

BU leads the all-time series, 15-7. The Terriers have won six straight meetings with the Seawolves last victory coming on Feb. 10, 2007.

Kirsten Jeter scored her 1,000th career point and finished the night with a game-high 22, but it wasn't enough as the Seawolves lost to Boston University, 69-59, in Agganis Arena.
With 3:47 left, Misha Horsey hit a pair of free throws to pull SBU within six. A jumper by Jeter a minute later would narrow the gap to just four, but BU's Ali Hinton would answer with her third three of the game to put the game out of reach for Stony Brook.
