Playing at home for the first time in almost a month, the Stony Brook University women's basketball opens America East play on Monday against the UMBC Retrievers at Pritchard Gymnasium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Senior Kirsten Jeter (Elmont, N.Y.) scored a season-high 21 points but Autumn Lau hit the go-ahead three pointer with 34 seconds left to give the St. Francis (N.Y.) Terriers a 57-54 victory over the Stony Brook University women's basketball team on Friday afternoon.
Jeter also pulled down eight rebounds for the Seawolves, who forced the Terriers into 24 turnovers. Junior Destiny Jacobs (Glen Burnie, Md.) added nine points and nine rebounds for SBU.
Scouting UMBC
UMBC has won five of its last seven games after defeating Loyola (Md.), 60-57 on Wednesday night.
Junior Michelle Kurowski scored a game-high 18 points against Loyola (Md.) and is second in the America East in scoring (14.2 points per game). Junior Erin Brown's 12.8 points per game ranks fifth in the America East.
The teams have one common opponent this season, having both played at George Mason. The Seawolves lost 74-48 while UMBC was defeated, 54-38. The Retrievers are 1-5 on the road.

Trailing UMBC by one with 16:36 remaining in the second half, a 12-0 run by Stony Brook propelled the Seawolves to a 59-48 victory on Senior Night in Pritchard Gymnasium. Jeter scored a game-high 22 points.
Junior Mysha Horsey (Wyncote, Pa.) finished the game with 13 points and five assists. Jeter added three assists, eight rebounds and four steals to her 22 points. Kurowski scored a team-high 14 points for UMBC.
