Women's Hoops to host New Hampshire on Wednesday

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook University women's basketball team continues a three-game homestand on Wednesday, facing off against the New Hampshire Wildcats in America East conference action at Pritchard Gymnasium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Last time out
Senior Kirsten Jeter (Elmont, N.Y.) and sophomore Sam Landers (Springfield, Va.) each scored 13 points but the Vermont Catamounts used a 14-0 second half run to rally for a 68-50 victory over the Seawolves on Saturday at Pritchard Gymnasium.

Scouting New Hampshire
The Wildcats (7-16, 4-7 AE) are 3-3 in their last six games and are coming off a 59-50 home loss to Binghamton on Sunday. UNH is 1-12 away from home this season.

Denise Beliveau has recorded eight double-doubles including a 20-point, 11-rebound performance in the Wildcats 75-68 victory over the Seawolves at Lundhold Gymnasium on Jan. 15.

New Hampshire leads the America East in three-point field goal percentage (.353) and made three-point field goals per game (7.2). The Wildcats went 9-for-24 from three-point range in the first meeting between the teams.

UNH is seventh in the conference in turnover margin (-3.4) and is forcing a league-worst 12.6 turnovers per game.

All-Time Series
This will be the 23rd all-time meeting between the schools. UNH leads the series, 14-8, and has won the last two meetings.

Senior Kirsten Jeter scored a then career-high 27 points and the Seawolves cut an 11-point second half deficit to two but the New Hampshire Wildcats held on for a 75-68 victory at Lundholm Gymnasium

Jeter went 9-for 19 from the field and 9-for-14 from the foul line in addition to grabbing five rebounds. Sophomore Dani Klupenger (Aurora, Ore.) knocked four threes and scored a career-best 14 points. Cari Reed tallied 17 of her team-high 21 points in the first half for New Hampshire while Beliveau had 20 points and 11 rebounds.
