Baltimore, Md. -
Having earned first team All-America honors on Thursday, Kevin Crowley added a second national honor with his selection as the USILA's Lt. Donald McLaughlin, Jr. Award for Outstanding Midfielder of the Year.
The 2010 Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award recipient for Outstanding Player of the Year, Crowley had 30 goals and 26 assists in 14 games, as well as 45 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. He concluded his illustrious career with 131 goals and 101 assists, becoming one of just a handful of players in Division I history with 100 or more goals and assists.
Crowley, who was a four-time first team All-America East selection, is Stony Brook's all-time leader in points. The 6-4 British Columbia native ended his career as Division I's active leading scorer.
Past winners of this award include Gary Gait, Rob Shek, Casey Powell, Jay Jalbert, Kyle Harrison, Paul Rabil and Max Seibald.
The award honors McLaughlin, an All-American midfielder for Navy, who died on a combat mission in South Vietnam in 1966.
