Stony Brook in the National Lacrosse League - Week 2

The National Lacrosse League kicked off its 26th season January 8, and three former Stony Brook players - Jordan McBride '11, Rhys Duch '08 and Kevin Crowley '11 - will represent the Seawolves in the NLL this year.

Jordan McBride | Mammoth 13, Rush 12 | Mammoth 13, Roughnecks 12 OT

McBride played in one game last weekend.  He did not score, but recorded three loose balls against Edmonton.

He has a goal and an assist in two games this season.

McBride finished his illustrious Stony Brook career with 175 goals, tied for the 10th most in Division I history.  He's the only Seawolf to score 40 goals in each of his four seasons.

Rhys Duch | Wings 10, Stealth 9 OT

Duch had three assists and a team-high 13 loose balls in a 10-9 loss at Philadelphia.

He has four goals and five assists, and his 21 loose balls ranks second in the NLL.

A two-time All-America East selection, Duch totaled 56 goals and 50 assists at Stony Brook.  He tallied 28 assists as a senior, ranking fifth in the country in assists per game.

Kevin Crowley | Wings 10, Stealth 9 OT

Crowley scored five goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as Philadelphia topped Washington, 10-9.

He's tallied eight goals and six assists in two games to rank among the top rookies in the NLL.

Crowley finished his storied Stony Brook career with 131 goals and 101 assists, making the New Westminster, British Columbia native as one of a handful of players in NCAA history with 100 or more goals and assists.  A two-time All-American, Crowley was named the 2011 USILA Midfielder of the Year.
