About the Game: After having its three-game winning streak snapped on Thursday against Binghamton, the Stony Brook women's basketball team will try to return to the win column against SUNY rival Albany. A Stony Brook victory, would improve SBU to 2-1 in conference play for the first time since 2006-07.

Meet the Seawolves: Stony Brook leads the America East and is 24th in the nation in scoring defense at 52.6 points per game. SBU also leads the conference in field goal percentage defense (.374) and has held six of its last seven opponents under 35 percent shooting.

Scouting Albany: Albany has opened the conference season with victories over UMBC and Hartford, who were picked first and second in the America East preseason coaches poll. The Great Danes are led by juniors Ebone Henry and Julie Forster. The 2011 America East Defensive Player of the Year and first team all-conference selection, Henry is fourth in the league in scoring (14.3 ppg) and seventh in rebounding (7.0 rpg). Forster has led the America East in rebounding each of her first two seasons at Albany and is once again leading the conference in rebounds this season, averaging 10.3 boards per game. Albany is forcing an America East best 20.1 turnovers per game.

Last time out: Stony Brook University's women's basketball team had its three-game winning streak snapped on Thursday night as Andrea Holmes scored 16 of her game-high 19 points in the second half to lead the Binghamton Bearcats to a 44-32 victory over the Seawolves at Pritchard Gymnasium.
