Women's hoops faces road test against Rutgers

Piscataway, N.J. - Winners of four of their last five games, the Stony Brook women's basketball team will travel to Piscataway, N.J. on Friday for a matchup against BIG EAST foe Rutgers at 5 p.m.

Last Time Out

The Seawolves (7-4) shot a season-high 55.8% in a 65-52 win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Wednesday. Junior Teasha Harris (Bloomington, Ill.) scored a career-best 17 points in 22 minutes off the bench, while senior Jessica Previlon notched her third double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Stony Brook forced 21 turnovers and outscored the Terriers' bench by a 30-12 margin.

Rutgers

The Scarlet Knights enter with a 7-3 record and have won four straight games. On Sunday, the Scarlet Knights knocked off No. 21/23 Miami, holding the Hurricanes to just 19% shooting. Monique Oliver paces the team with 13.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Three's Company

Senior Dani Klupenger hit four three-pointers for the second straight game on Wednesday. Twelve of Klupenger's 13 field goals this season have come from behind the arc.

Stony Brook has scored 60+ points in each of the last two games; prior to this stretch, the Seawolves had scored 60+ just once in the first nine contests.
