Stony Brook in the National Lacrosse League - Week 3

The National Lacrosse League kicked off its 26th season January 8, and three former Stony Brook players - Jordan McBride '11, Rhys Duch '08 and Kevin Crowley '11 - will represent the Seawolves in the NLL this year.

Jordan McBride | Mammoth 14, Knighthawks 11

McBride did not play against Rochester in the Mammoth's 14-11 victory.

He has a goal and an assist in two games this season.

McBride finished his illustrious Stony Brook career with 175 goals, tied for the 10th most in Division I history.  He's the only Seawolf to score 40 goals in each of his four seasons.

Rhys Duch | Rush 16, Stealth 5

Duch was one of the lone bright spots for the Stealth, tallying a goal, two assists and six loose balls.

He has five goals and seven assists, and his 27 loose balls ranks fifth in the NLL.

A two-time All-America East selection, Duch totaled 56 goals and 50 assists at Stony Brook.  He tallied 28 assists as a senior, ranking fifth in the country in assists per game.

Kevin Crowley | Wings 13, Bandits 10

Crowley had a goal and an assist as Philadelphia topped Buffalo, 13-10.

He's tallied nine goals and seven assists in three games to rank among the top rookies in the NLL.

Crowley finished his storied Stony Brook career with 131 goals and 101 assists, making the New Westminster, British Columbia native as one of a handful of players in NCAA history with 100 or more goals and assists.  A two-time All-American, Crowley was named the 2011 USILA Midfielder of the Year.
