About The Game: Stony Brook takes on Towson in the second game of a two-game homestand. Saturday's game is the third all-time meeting between the Seawolves and the Tigers. The series is tied at one, with each team winning on its home field. Stony Brook won the first meeting, 14-11, in 2010 before Towson was victorious, 9-8, last season.
Scouting Towson: Towson (2-3) is coming off a 10-6 loss at home to Navy. The Tigers are playing a school outside the state of Maryland for the first time since the season opener at Jacksonville on February 11. Sean Maguire leads the Tigers with 11 points (nine goals, two assists). Thomas DeNapoli has seven goals and three assists. Matt Hughes and Robby Zappo have recorded five goals apiece. Andrew Wascavage and Travis Love split time in goal against Navy. Wascavage has a 10.00 goals against average and a .507 save percentage, while Love owns a 12.00 gaa and a .471 save percentage.
Last Time Out: Despite a career-high three goals from senior Russ Bonanno and a season-high 14 saves from junior Sean Brady, St. John's (3-2) topped Stony Brook (1-4), 11-9, Tuesday evening at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. The Red Storm's Kieran McArdle led all players with four goals.
Seawolves News and Notes: Jeff Tundo and Russ Bonanno have tallied at least one assist in all five games this season ... after 15 penalties in the first three games, Stony Brook has been whistled for only two in the last two games ... the Seawolves scored a man-up goal for a fifth straight game ... the next four games will be played in the afternoon followed by five straight night games.
