Cambridge, Mass. - Redshirt freshman Mike Rooney (East Islip, N.Y.) of the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team has been named America East Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Rooney scored two goals against Marist, and leads the Seawolves with six in three games.

Stony Brook will look to earn its first win of the season at Delaware on Saturday, March 10 at 3 p.m.
