About The Game: Stony Brook heads upstate to face the Binghamton Bearcats on Saturday night. The Seawolves are 9-3 all-time against Binghamton, which beat Canisius, 11-7, on April 3. Stony Brook has won seven straight games over Binghamton, including a 12-8 victory in the America East Championship last season. The Bearcats last win over the Seawolves was a 9-8 victory in 2005.
Scouting Binghamton: Michael Antinozzi leads the America East with 26 goals and is fourth nationally with 3.25 goals per game. Tyler Perrelle (19) and Brandon Planck (13) are the other double digit goal scorers for the Bearcats. Chris Cook is 34 of 65 and Jeff Donigan is 72 of 162 at the 'X'. Ben Waldron has totaled 39 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers. Each of Binghamton's three goalies have seen time this season. Seawolves News and Notes: Tim Hawkins' first goal of the season made it 13-4 against Vermont, Stony Brook's biggest lead in any game this season ... Stony Brook has won three straight America East Conference openers and 15 regular season conference games in a row. The last time Stony Brook lost a regular-season conference game was against #8 UMBC, 14-8, on March 29, 2009 ... Mike Rooney was named America East Rookie of the Week for the third time this season on Monday. One more such honor and he will tie Bo Tripodi `08 and Kevin Crowley `11 for the most in school history.
