Baseball's Peragine named to CCL All-Star Game

South Yarmouth, Mass. - Stony Brook baseball sophomore Cole Peragine (Belle Ewart, Ontario) has been named to the 2013 Friendly's Cape League All-Star Game, to be held Saturday, July 27 at Red Wilson Field in Yarmouth, Mass., home to the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, at 4:30 p.m. The All-Star Game will be nationally televised on Fox College Sports.

Peragine plays for the All-Star Game host Yarmouth-Dennis squad, and is currently hitting .328 for the Red Sox with seven RBI (through games on July 21).

For Stony Brook, Peragine is a two-year starter at shortstop and is a career .296 hitter with 25 extra-base hits, 58 RBI and 70 runs scored. He was a 2012 freshman All-American and the 2012 America East Rookie of the Year. In 2013, he finished second on the team in runs scored with 28.
