Stony Brook, N.Y. –  We’re 16 days from Tip-Off Weekend at Island Federal Credit Union Arena, but why wait so long to see members of the Stony Brook men’s and women’s basketball teams? Over the next two weeks, the Seawolves will be coming to restaurants and events near you!

First, grab some wings with Preseason All-Conference pick Carson Puriefoy and junior guard Kim Hanlon at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Centereach! The duo will be taking your orders, seating you and mingling on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 6-8 p.m.  That’s not all! Everyone’s favorite mascot, Wolfie, will be on hand as well to meet-and-greet with guests!

Chow down with the Seawolves again on Friday, Nov. 7 from 5-7 p.m. when junior forward Scott King and freshman guard Kacie Juday join the staff of Luigi’s Pizza in Setauket. They’ll be behind the counter, greeting guests and signing autographs.

Stony Brook prides itself on family-friendly entertainment, and Saturday, Nov. 8 will be no different. Before the football team tangles with James Madison, freshman guard Marshauna Butler and redshirt freshman forward Elizabeth Manner will help young fans dribble through cones and shoot on a hoops outside the Petro Home Services Gate (Gate 6).

Attention students: We have an opportunity for you to get FREE PIZZA from Luigi’s. The first 50 students who order pizza from Luigi’s Tuesday, Nov. 11 between 7-9 p.m. will receive it for FREE. All-America East selection Sabre Proctor, reigning America East Player of the Year Jameel Warney, junior forward Alyssa Coiro, junior forward Rayshaun McGrew and Hanlon will be personally delivering the food to the winners’ doors!

On Nov. 12, Stony Brook students will have another opportunity to mingle with their fellow Seawolves. From 1-2 p.m., students can challenge sophomore swingman Chris Braley and sophomore guard Christa Scognamiglio in a 3-point shot. Students who win will be entered to claim a prize when the men’s team plays Columbia Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. or when the women’s team takes on Saint Peter’s Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
