Stony Brook squares off with Binghamton Sunday

Stony Brook, N.Y. — The Stony Brook women’s basketball team opens a two-game homestand vs. Binghamton Sunday at 2 p.m.

Promotions

  • All fans in attendance will receive a first aid kit from the Stony Brook University School of Nursing.
  • The Seawolves will host Resident Advisor (RA) and International Student Day. RAs and international students are welcome to come out to the game to enjoy one last hurrah before the spring semester gets underway! 
  • One student will be selected to participate in the Alumni/Student Fan Contest. Each participant will take home a prize courtesy of the Stony Brook Alumni Association.

Last Time Out

Senior Sabre Proctor led all scorers with 22 points and put in a pair of layups with under two minutes remaining to lift Stony Brook to a 64-60 win Thursday at UMass Lowell. Junior Brittany Snow scored 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds, and sophomore Christa Scognamiglio finished with 13 points. Sophomore Kori Bayne-Walker scored 10 points and dished eight assists.

Scouting the Bearcats      

Binghamton (4-15, 2-4) is on a three-game skid and is coming off Monday’s 70-48 loss at Maine. Imani Watkins leads the team in scoring at 15.6 points per game, and Jasmine Sina is second at 14.9 points per game. Sherae Swinson is averaging a Bearcats-best 7.2 boards per contest.

Series History vs. the Bearcats    

Stony Brook has won four straight vs. Binghamton. The Bearcats lead the all-time series, 20-16.
