Stony Brook, N.Y. – The Stony Brook women’s basketball team opened its 2015-16 season on Monday morning with a three-hour practice in the Island Federal Credit Union Arena.
Head coach Caroline McCombs, who enters her second season at Stony Brook, welcomes back eight lettwerwinners and three starters from last season’s 17-win team. Returning is junior guard Kori Bayne-Walker (Rochester, N.Y.), who led the conference in assists en route to America East second team all-conference honors, and America East third team selection, Brittany Snow (Shamong, N.J.)
The Seawolves went 10-6 in America East play in 2014-15 and were an impressive 11-3 at home in their inaugural season playing in IFCU Arena.
