Boston -  Freshman Ogechi Anyagaligbo (Miami, Fla.) has been named the Under Armour America East Rookie of the Week for the ninth time this season after averaging 9.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 2.5 bpg over two games, the conference announced Monday.

Anyagaligbo’s ninth accolade moves her into second place in conference history, trailing only Erica Beverley from Hartford, who won 10 Rookie of the Week honors in 2005-06.

Anyagaligbo scored seven points and chipped in with six rebounds vs. UMBC, then tallied 11 points, six rebounds and a career-high four blocks at New Hampshire. She leads the conference in rebounding at 9.2 per game and is on the verge of cracking Stony Brook’s single season top 10 for rebounds.

Anyagaligbo and the Seawolves are back in action on Wed., Feb. 17, when they host Albany at 7 p.m.
