Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's basketball team (16-11, 8-6 AE) faces the Maine Black Bears (21-7, 12-1 AE) on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. in the Seawolves' final home game of the 2015-16 season. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN3.com.

The Black Bears trail first-place Albany by a half game in the America East standings, boasting a 21-7 overall record and a 12-1 record in conference play. Preseason All-America East selections Sigi Koizar and Liz Wood lead the Black Bears in scoring. Koizar is third in the conference in scoring and tops on her team at 17.1 ppg, sporting a league-high 69 three-point field goals. Wood is the team’s leading rebounder (7.5 rpg) and ranks second on the team in scoring at 9.8 ppg. She scored a game-high 20 points in the first meeting between these teams on Jan. 24. Maine boasts the league’s no. 1 scoring defense, yielding 50.8 ppg. They are also the best three-point shooting team in the conference, averaging 6.7 made three-point field goals per game and shooting at a 33.0% mark from behind the arc.

Maine edged the Seawolves 55-52 in Bangor, Maine on Jan. 24. SBU narrowly leads the all-time series, 17-16, but Maine has won the last three meetings.
Senior Day Celebration
Stony Brook will honor seniors Alyssa Coiro (Califon, N.J.), Miranda Jenkins (Greensboro, N.C.), Kim Hanlon (White Plains, N.Y.) and Brittany Snow (Shamong, N.J.) before Saturday’s game. The quartet is the winningest class in Stony Brook’s Division I history, winning 71 games over four seasons. They have combined to score 1,940 points.
