The Stony Brook women’s lacrosse team stands in the top 10 in all three major national polls as of April 4. The Seawolves hold a No. 8 ranking in the Inside Lacrosse and Nike/Lacrosse Magazine media polls and are No. 9 in the IWLCA coaches poll in the rankings announced Monday by the respective organizations.

The Seawolves are ranked in their 51st consecutive weekly polls following their third-straight double-digit win Saturday, a 19-8 victory over Vermont to open America East play. Stony Brook has outscored its opponents 79-33 over its current five-game winning streak.

Sophomore Kylie Ohlmiller (Islip, N.Y.) and senior Alyssa Fleming (Shoreham, N.Y.) were named America East Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for the second week in a row.

The Seawolves close out a five-game homestand when they face UMBC Wednesday, April 6, at 7 p.m.
