Kentucky Fried Volleyball
The weekend matches have been relocated to the downtown KFC Yum! Center, a 22,000 seat venue in downtown Louisville.
Last Time Out: Hofstra 3, Stony Brook 0
The Seawolves fell in three sets to Hofstra Tuesday night in Hempstead. Sophomore McKyla Brooks notched a career-high eight blocks.
Scouting the Tigers
Auburn enters Friday at 1-3 on the year following a midweek victory over Kennesaw State. The Tigers fell to Georgia Tech, Furman and Pacific in an opening weekend tournament at home.
Brenna McIlroy leads the Tigers with 2.88 kills/set, while Emily Klitzke is hitting a team-best .333. Jesse Earl has posted a team-high 5.31 digs/set. The Tigers have been limited to a .160 hitting percentage through four matches.

Friday marks the first meeting between the Seawolves and Tigers.
History vs. the SEC
Stony Brook is 0-4 against current members of the SEC in its Division I history, having most recently faced Arkansas in 2014.
Scouting the Cardinals
Louisville is 3-0 on the year with wins over Oakland, VCU and Bowling Green. The match against the Cardinals will be available on ESPN3.

Saturday will be the first meeting between Stony Brook and Louisville.

Stony Brook is 1-5 against current ACC members, including a victory over Syracuse in 2013.
Scouting the Broncos
Santa Clara is 3-0 in the early going this season with victories over UC Irvine, Marquette and then-No. 7 USC.
Nikki Hess leads the Broncos with 3.64 kills/set, while setter Kirsten Mead was named WCC Player of the Week after averaging 11.27 assists/set in the opening weekend. Taylor Laugero had 6.18 digs/set for the Broncos last weekend.

Santa Clara took the lone meeting between the programs back in 2005 at a tournament hosted by Brown.

Stony Brook is 1-3 against current members of the West Coast Conference, with the victory coming over Portland in 2007 in a match at Brown.
Wilson!
Sophomore Taylor Wilson was named to the UCF Invitational All-Tournament Team after hitting .322 with 2.50 kills/set and 0.80 blocks/set.
Wilson will play this weekend's matches in front of numerous friends and family, as the Seawolves sophomore hails from Corydon, Indiana, just across the Ohio River from Louisville.
Building Blocks
Sophomore McKyla Brooks had eight blocks in Tuesday's match against Hofstra, which were the most in a three-set match by an America East player since Binghamton's Bianca Anderson had 10 against Siena on Sept. 8, 2014.
Gels Bells
Freshman Jordan Gels had an impressive all-around weekend to open her collegiate career, tallying 2.70 digs/set, 0.90 blocks/set, 15 kills and six aces. Gels was tied for the team-high in kills with eight Tuesday night at Hofstra.
Far More Hits than Chumbawumba
The Seawolves hit .402 in the win over Stetson, marking the first time Stony Brook hit over .400 in a match since recording a .409 hitting percentage in a sweep of UMass Lowell on Oct. 30, 2015.

The Seawolves open the home portion of their schedule Wednesday, Sept. 7, when they host Iona at 7 p.m.
