STONY BROOK, N.Y. – After a five-year hiatus from the pool, Stony Brook swimming and diving returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 21 as they travel to Vermont for a 12 p.m. contest.
The last time the Seawolves competed in a meet was on Feb. 26, 2012, meaning the program has gone on a 2,064-day break in action.

Janelle Atkinson as the head women's swimming & diving coach on Feb. 12, 2017. Atkinson heads into her first season at Stony Brook after spending the past three seasons as the head coach of Fairfield's men's and women's swimming & diving programs.
Stony Brook Officially Re-Opens University Pool
The Stony Brook University and the Department of Athletics held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to re-open University Pool on Monday, May 15. The multi-million dollar renovations began in January of 2015 when the existing pool was completely demolished, including the removal of the existing pool deck level. The Seawolves first home meet of the season is on Nov. 18, as the program will take on Saint Peter's at 4 p.m.

- UVM is 1-1 so far this season. The Catamounts topped NJIT on Oct. 7, then fell at New Hampshire on Oct. 14.
