GREENWOOD, Ind. – Stony Brook women's lacrosse junior
Samantha DiSalvo (Lynbrook, N.Y.) has been named a CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large selection, as announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
DiSalvo, a junior biology major, holds a 3.99 GPA in her undergraduate career. The midfielder earned the America East's Elite 17 Award and an all-academic team honor in addition to receiving an Undergraduate Recognition Award from Stony Brook University for academic excellence.
DiSalvo was a second-team America East all-conference selection for her performance on the field in 2017. Entering the NCAA tournament, DiSalvo has tallied 29 goals, 15 assists, 31 ground balls, 22 draw controls and 19 caused turnovers. DiSalvo has been key for a Stony Brook midfield that leads the nation in scoring defense (6.95) and scoring margin (9.26) while ranking third in scoring offense (16.21).
