RICHMOND, VA. – Stony Brook's football team placed 10 members on the 2018 CAA Football All-Conference list and senior OL
Chris Infantino (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was named the Chuck Boone Leadership and Excellence Award winner, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
CAA Football's All-Conference awards are voted on by the league's 12 head coaches.
The Seawolves, who finished tied for third in the conference, placed senior RB
Donald Liotine (Medford, N.Y.), senior TE/FB
Cal Daniels (Bethel, Conn.) and senior LB
Shayne Lawless (Moorestown, N.J.) on the first team.

Gavin Heslop (Yonkers, N.Y.) earned second tea honors, while senior DL

Noah McGinty (Carlsbad, Calif.) and sophomore CB
TJ Morrison (Yonkers, N.Y.) were each named to the third team.
Infantino was the recipient of the prestigious Chuck Boone Leadership and Excellence Award, an honor that embodies the highest standards of leadership, integrity, teamwork and sportsmanship in academics and athletics. The senior offensive lineman started every game this season and helped Stony Brook rush for 208.1 yards per game, which ranks second in the CAA and 27th nationally. He graduated last May with a double major in biology and psychology and is currently pursuing a Master's of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. He is an ambassador for the Concussion Legacy Foundation and participates in Uplifting Athletes, a fundraising event to raise awareness for rare disease research. The Boone Award is selected by the CAA Football athletics directors.
Liotine, who picked up his first CAA honor, leads the conference with 1,099 rushing yards of 204 carries and five touchdowns. He also recorded six 100-plus yard games this season, including four against CAA opponents.
The honor is the second straight for Daniels who pulled down 20 receptions for 228 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season.
Lawless, a previous two-time second team honoree, collected 82 total tackles in 2018 with 12.0 TFLs and 3.5 sacks. He also had an interception, two fumble recoveries that included a scoop-and-score in the win at New Hampshire.
Gowins, the second leading rusher in the league behind Liotine, picks up his first CAA honor. He recorded 922 yards on 157 carries and crossed the goal line eight times. He also rushed for over 100 yards in four games in 2018.
Nunez helped anchor an offensive line that allowed just 13 sacks in 2018 and helped the Seawolves average over 200 rushing yards per game.
Kamara collected 36 total tackles and led the team with 6.5 sacks to go with 9.0 TFLs.
Heslop posted 55 total tackles, had 10 pass breakups and sprinted 87 yards for a scoop-and-score to help beat Richmond.
Haggart (56 total tackles, 4.0 sacks, 9.0 TFLs), McGinty (team-high 87 total tackles, 7.0 TFLs) and Morrison (36 total tackles, five pass breakups and one interception) all helped the Stony Brook defense hold opponents to under 20 points per game in 2018.
Infantino, the all-conference 10 honorees and the rest of the Seawolves travel to Southeast Missouri on Saturday opening round of the 2017 NCAA Division I Football Championship. Kickoff from Houck Field is set for 2 p.m. ET.
