Box Score DURHAM, N.H. -- The Stony Brook men's soccer was topped by No. 15 New Hampshire, 1-0 on Friday night from Wildcat Stadium. With the result, the Seawolves fall to 3-7-1 (0-2-0 AE) while New Hampshire improves to 8-0-2 (2-0-0 AE).
Highlights
- The Wildcats took the first shot on goal in the 17th minute but the attempt was saved by freshman keeper Edmond Kaiser (Karlsruhe, Germany).
- UNH had another look in the 35th minute but sophomore Rondell Payne (San Fernandino, Trinidad) was able to get a head on it to keep the match scoreless.
- Just two seconds before halftime, the Wildcats jumped in front on a goal by Jacob Gould to take a 1-0 lead into the break.
- Redshirt sophomore Matias Prando (Yorktown, N.Y.) made a big defensive stop in the 57th minute to prevent New Hampshire from extending its lead.
- Sophomore Jack Valderrabano (New York, N.Y.) had a shot on goal in the 72nd minute but his attempt was saved by Alejandro Robles.
